MESSAGE:
I think that Chapter 12 is called 'Stranded' because Jess is lost without Leslie. Leslie has helped him face his own fears and now she is dead. I don't think he will be able to face his fears without Leslie. He might not be able to be brave without her. I have never had a friend who died and I can't imagine what he is going through. |

MESSAGE:
I think Katherine Patterson showed us that Jess was in shock about Leslie being dead by Jess bursting through the Burke's door and running home mad. He is like mad and sad. He also threw the stuff Leslie gave him in the creek. I was shocked when he hit Maybelle with his fist as hard as he could. I think that Jess might tear down that club they had and never go back to it. If I was Jess, I would never talk to nobody and be sad till I grow up, maybe 21 or 18, that is how sad I would be. |

MESSAGE:
Dear Kevin, What I meant on November 16th was that Jess really a hard-worker and determined to win the race because he practices everyday. Jess is a lonely boy because he really didn't have any friends. He is sad because his dad don't give him attention. He is a nice boy who wants to be friends with all different kinds of people and be respected. I hope this cleared it up for you. Thanks for asking. :O) Matt |

When Leslie died Jess was sad because he lost a friend. I would be sad if I lost a family member or a friend. I would cry and be sad. How would you feel? |

I'm wondering if Leslie's parents know how she died, where she died, and how she died. |

Dear Henry, I think your answer is not correct. I think Jess is not trying to be a famous runner or a champion. I think he just wants to be a winner, he only won once. Now he is trying to win again. I have a queston for you, "Why did Leslie go to the boy field instead of the girl field?" |

I am liking the book Bridge to Terabithia and would like a place like Terabithia too. It would be fun and would hang out there everyday. I also have a question. I wonder if anybody knew how Leslie died? |
