For those of you finished with the book: Why do you think Christopher Paul Curtis included his Afterword? Do you think this is important to the story?

This book is so good I always want to read ahead but I don't. I don't think that Herman E. Calloway is his dad but I do think that he is a relative of Bud. My favorite person in the band is Doug the Thug.

the book was really good and exiding. I like how at the end Bud finds out that Hermon E. Calloway was really his grandpa.Ihope that I didn't give away anything. The book was agreat book, I hope you liked the book as much as I did.

That mean Calloway guy needs to take a chill pill. Its like if somone say his name in the wrong tone he blows up on them. I don't even think that he is Buds dad because he is so old. What do you think?
