I really can not compare any other book to Hatchet
because I have never really read a survival story.The
closes book I can think of that I have read is probaly
Maniac Magee because of the way he has to find food
and try to stay alive while he is running.

To:Jennifer From Youens, I think your right about Brian putting mud on himself, but he can also dive into the water and hold his breath, then he can come back out to get more air and he can repeat this until all the mosquitos get away, otherwise your plan is good to!

Dear Jennifer I think you are right by the mud that is so smart.Brian should get some fish and put it in the fire that will be so smart.Then he will have alot of food to eat what so hard by geting some food.If I was Brian I will get some fire and put it on the grass and spell help
so if anybody see it they will gave me some help what do you think about it Jennifer.Do you think the polit is alive I think Brian should go back to the plane crash and look for the pliot.I did not like when Brian ate the eggs that was not to smart of him to eat it
