From: michelle Grade 4 Herod Elementary Houston, TX	Message: The setting is still the same.Brian is still in the wilderness.He has been for a long time.He has been in the forest for 47 days in the forest since the crash.He thought or he might imagined that it was until 42 days until he died and became a new person like a new Brian. What I think is going to happen next is that an animal might hurt Brian even more than you expected.It might even be wolves but it could'nt be that big.Only something big that happend like the crash.I think Brian would make it.I know he could just do it. I think that Brian is going to be okay.He's is exercising better and eating healthier.I just know that he is going to survive.Maybe that is just what Brian needs to be like in the city.Excersise and eating healthier is just what Brian needs. I'm beginning to like even more than I used to like the book.It makes me feel like I'n really there.It's like I am the one who is seeing Brian all the time.

And what Mr.Paulson is feeling and trying to say that you should beleive in your self.Also authers have good imagineations while they're writing.Like how they felt when he was a child maybe his parents got divorced ,and he was injured alot to. And say hey I did that in his mind. So he wanted to add that and to make the book more exciting and more fun.By the way I have Hatchet book at home and I really like it.

The clues the author gave us are the berries are spoiling, and it said "he had sat the whole night and shaped the limbs carefuly until the bow looked beautiful", also it said "the he had spent 2 days making arrows",also it said 42 days had past since the plane crash and also fishing takes time. It also says "He finished most of the fish before night and the fish that were left he cooked over the fire and ate it with the willow fork. The book "also says as the hour gos by"
