MESSAGE:
Dear Readers, I think this is a very interesting book!! Sal is a very creative and interesting girl! She's her own person. Phoebe is kind of strange. She is sooo jumpy!! She always finds something to worry about. Grams and Gramps are excited about the trip. They really like the stories Sal tells. I think they are funny. |

MESSAGE:
Dear Readers, We think that Sal didn't flinch when Ben touched her because she likes him or maybe she is too embarassed to flinch. We think that Ben likes her, too. We think that "huzza, huzza," means "oh my," or "gee whiz." Maybe it means,"You are strange," maybe not. It could really mean anything. What's your opinion?
Sincerely,
P.S. If you really want to write to us, say "Hey, DW and Dena, where are ya?" We will answer you soon. |

MESSAGE:
Dear reader, We think that Mrs.Winterbottem is Sal's mom's sister or best friend. Today we drew our souls. We think Sal's soul was the same as Ben's because they think alike. Our class thinks that Sal and Ben could be brother and sister, because both of their mom's are gone and they think alot alike. What do you think about our pridiction? Samantha and Sabena |

MESSAGE:
Dear Readers, I think that Mrs. Winterbottom didn't get kidnapped because how could she make all that food while she was getting kidnapped. I think that she leaves and then sneaks back home when Pheobe and Prudence are at school and Mr. Winterbottom is at work to prepare all those dishes. I think that my prediction might be right because all the directions that Mrs. Winterbottom wrote, the names of the dishes she prepared were abbreviated. Peyton |

MESSAGE:
Dear Readers, Since Sal's mom is missing, and Ben's mom is missing, I think that they could have the same mother. It seems like they're somehow related because they are so much alike! For example, when they drew the same picture in English class for an exercise. Anyway, Ben does kind of seem like an In- dian just like Sal. I mean, Ben has kissed her two times and holds her hand. What do you think? |
