Greetings! Thanks for all those great comments yesterday! I have one question: Is Marty an honest person? Use persuasive language to explain the reasons for your answer.

I have a question, too. How is David's family different from Marty's? What do these differences have to do with Marty's dilemma?

Marty's mom doesn't have as much money as David's mom. David's mom, on the other hand, has lots of money. She can spend time with her son and her son's friend. She's willing to make lunch and snacks for David and Marty. She makes the food look pretty. Marty's mom doesn't want to take the time to do that. She has other things to do.

I think Judd has changed a little because for once in Ch.6 Judd seemed as if he had a nice heart.I think Marty will give Shiloh back since he feels sorry for Judd since Judd has been whipped since he was 4

Marty still thinks that Judd is hurting Shiloh. Now Judd is getting suspicious. That's really really bad because if Judd comes to Marty's house the dad might want to show him something past where Shiloh is tied up on their property , then Judd will know that Marty was telling him a lie and Marty will get in trouble with Judd, his dad, and his mom. Then nobody would trust him or believe him any more.

I think Marty feels sorry for Judd and I think that Judd is thinks Marty has Shiloh. I also wonder why Marty made up the giant snake story to scare Betty and Dara Lynn and how he is going to continue feeding Shiloh without letting his parents get suspicious.I also like when Judd came and asked if they have seen Shiloh and Marty is frozen until his father asks him the question again.

I believe Marty is an honest person who HAD to tell lies to protect Shiloh. Honest people who lie feel remorse. Marty suffered when he thought of the food that he lied about eating, but instead gave to Shiloh. He also felt guilty when he let the owner of the corner store think he was buying moldy cheese for his family's dinner. However, when dishonest people tell lies, they don't have regrets. Marty did.
