In your opinion, how and where do you think that Phyllis Reynolds Naylor got the idea for writing this book?

Michael, do you think Marty is honest, dishonest or both. I think he is dishonest because he's taking all the food for his faimly to feed Shiloh. What do you think?

Shawna, I am almost done the book and Marty is making two dollars an hour for working for Judd. Judd is selling Shiloh for forty dollars. If Marty works two hours a day five days a week and for four weeks Marty can buy the dog from Judd. Judd was not mean to Marty because Judd knew how he treated his dogs. Shawna, do you think Judd still has some family?

I think before Marty made that deal Marty should've of
told Judd that he would keep the deer because Marty
needed a witness to keep the dog after he did his work.
Judd could've hidden the deer and after Marty had
finished his work Judd could've said that Marty didn't
have a witness and Judd would've kept the dog. What do you think?
Maria, I think that Marty had enough
wood to make the fence higher but he didn't think that
anything would happen to Shiloh. If the Baker's chained their dogs up they would be mistreating their
dogs. I think Marty should be more careful with other
people's property. What do you think?

I think Judd would rank like this:
100% honest-0
obeying parents-9
doing what feels right-8
I said honest- 0 because he isn't honest. I said Judd really obeys his dad because he takes after his dad and does to his dogs what his dad did to him.

Hi, everyone, don't you just love Wednesday? I finished Shiloh and I'm going to write about the end.CAUTION: Don't read if not completed Shiloh? So, what did you think about Shiloh's end? I liked how Judd let Marty have Shiloh. I also liked how everyone in Marty's family loves Shiloh in the end. I guess Marty was wrong about Judd.

It's really hard not to read your post, or the responses that it may evoke, even with your disclaimer. Please don't write about the ending. There's so many things that you could write about without disclosing what happens.

I like chapter 12. It was a little sad because I didn't
know what was going to happen to Shilo but I think everyone is starting to like him. I think Marty's parents should be mad and proud of him at the same time because he was lying and doing something good to help an animal at the same time. I do not think Marty should give Shilo back to Judd Because Judd would kill Shilo.

I think everyone is begining to like Shiloh and doesn't want to give back to Judd and if I were Marty I would also like my friends and family to know about it.If I was Judd I'd also be mad at whoever stole my dog and why does he keep on thinking about the dog that had a bullet hole in its head.I also want to know why he has to go out to Judd's house so early in the morning.

In Ch.12,I felt very sorry for Marty and his family because they really like Shiloh and have to give him up.But,if they have the money to buy Shiloh and if Judd Travers would sell him,I think they would buy him from Judd because they know how Judd treat his dogs and they know how Marty really like Shiloh.
