Why do you think Peter is always in a hurry? I bet it's more than Lise's death that keeps him so quiet.

To Justin: No we haven't, but we would like to though. We think it is very sad that one man got an army just to kill people who don't follow the same religion. Have you seen any pictures of people in concentration camps? They were skin and bones. We are doing research projects on WWII? I, Ashley chose concentration camps and I, Spencer am doing the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Are you doing any?

To Krista: We agree with you. We would be very scared if we were Annemarie & the soldiers were talking to us. We would have been totally speechless. It makes no sense stopping innocent people walking down the street and questioning them. I think the German soldiers are weird to do what Hitler says.Taking the lives of 6 million Jews is stupid. We don't know what was in their heads but it was wrong and we have something to show for it.

I have read a book, Lilly's Cupboard. It's about a family that send their
daughter to stay with a Christian family during WW II.

I like this book, too, because it's amazing how those people survived
through WWII. I don't think a lot of the German soldiers were
just taking orders.

I have read a lot of books on this subject. It's a really interesting
subject. I study WWII and it is fascinating and I think that the
Nazis were nasty people.

To Sunnie,
I agree because little Kirsti doesn't like the soldiers and she
yelled at them. I think it's interesting that the soldiers
didn't yell back at Kirsti. When the soldier said little Kirsti
looked like his daughter Kirsti yelled at him. I'm enjoying
this book so far.

Hey Justin, I've read a few books which the people who are hiding
are telling the story. Also we wrote about what you would do if
you had a friend where will you hide him/her in today's life. I
would hide them in an attic that is in a closet. Think about it.

I have read another book about the persecution of Jewish people.
Our teacher read The Lily Cupboard to our class. It also takes place
in World War II. Our teacher also read Golem. It does not take place
in World War II but it is about how Jewish people were treated
unfairly before that.

I agree with you but Number the Stars reminds me of a movie I saw
called World War II The Persecution of the Jews. There were some
pictures that showed Jews bombing bridges that Nazis were driving
over.

To Sunny,
Hey Sunny, I agree. If the soldier did that to me I would push his
hand away and instead of yelling I would say in my firmest voice, "Don't!"
I would also be scared if I was Annemarie and do what Krista said.

Justin, I have read a book. The family was Jewish. They have to hide fromthe Nazis. It is about a girl. Her parents go to a concentration camp and she hides behind a wall. You have to press a button to open it.

I agree, this book is very good. I like it because it's a true
story and because I think World War II was very interesting, but
sad because people died. Guess what? My grandfather was in World War II
and he was captured by Germany during the war, but he found a way
to escape, and he is still alive today. I've only read the first
two chapters of teh book and I think this will be one of my
favorite books.

I'm in the middle of reading a book called The Diary of Anne Frank. It's
a really good book so far. I would recommend it to read. This book
was set in the middle of WW II. And she had to be hidden with her family
in someone else's house.
