We disagree with you. We think that uncle Henrik did the right thing lying to Annemarie because he was protecting her. Sometimes you have to tell a lie.

My favorite chapter was probably chapter 5, "Who is the dark haired one?", because it was really exiting and I couldn't stop reading it! Espesialy the part where AnneMarie's dad had to tear out the pictures, I thought they where going to take Ellen! What was your favorite chapter?

In chapter 10 'Let Us Open the Casket' what do you think would be in the casket if they opened it? Do you think it would be someone else's body? Also why do you think Lois Lowry named this book 'Number the Stars'? I think she named it this because that is her ays of saying there are lots of jews and also the psalm that Peter read said 'he who numbers the stars one by one...'

I think the conclsion you made was smart one,although I beleve that the book was named "Number the Stars"as in numbering the stars(jews)that made it safly to Sweden,or numbering the "stars" that died at the hands of the Nazies.Do you or anyone you know have any other theories?

I would like to live in Gilligee because it is a small town and if I was trying to ship a Jewish person over to Sweden I would go there because it is close to there for one reason and that town isn't very big so I don't think there would be many German soldiers there cause they probably wouldn't expect them to be there plus I like fishing. What else would you like about living in Gilligee?

I think Annemarie will run into soldiers and act silly like Kirsti. What do you think?

Annmarie is'nt real, the real persons name was Annlise, I dont know why they changed her name to Annmarie, and that name is kinda funny, Ann and Marie are in the same name. What do you think?

In chapter 15 do you think Annemarie was brave to the soldiers? I do because she stood up for herself, she was outgoing and she tried to act like Kirsti. At the begining of the book in chapter 1 Annemarie, Ellen,and Kristi where running home for school when a Nazi soldier ask ,"Why are you running?" Annemarie was very quiet and calm but When the soldier reached down and stroked Kirsti's short curly her she yelled,"Don't." She was not scared becase she thinks they are her surroundings.
