To Katie and Kelly,
If there was a place for her to go it wouldn't be such a problem.
How far into the book are the 2 of you? What is your favorit part

Dear Steph, I liked the part when Winnie was talking to the toad too! I liked that part because Winnie was expressing her feelings. I do that to some times too. Why do you think she would talk to a toad instead of her family?

Dear Jose,
I have finished reading chapter 5 just now and I believe the spring that Jesse told Winnie not to drink from is something like the fountain of youth and that's why Jesse doesn't want Winnie to drink from it.

Dear Steph,
I really like this book so far. We are on Chapter five right now. My favourite part so far is the part when Winnie talks to the toad. I've never heard of anybody who talks to animals. (other than Dr. Doolittle!)

Dear Jessie,
I think later in the book Winnie since she was sort of kidnapped by Mae, Jessie and Miles, she will stay with them. Yeah! It's a great of getting away from her "Touch-me not Cottage!"

Dear Jessie,
I Kinda thought the chapters were too short. I mean chapter four is just four pages long!! Anyway I like that Mae Tuck is willing to go to see her sons even though she could have waited till the next day.Do you think it's cool to take a music box everywhere you go? Sorry I got to cut this short but I got to go.

MESSAGE:
Dear Julie,
Do you think that rich talking man in the yellow suit sounds suspcious? I do but, that is what I think.

I personally think talking to a toad is quite weird. Do you like the way the author Natalie Babbitt uses a lot of detail and uncommon words? She really is a great author. Have a fantastic day!

To Calvin;
When Mae Tuck kidnapped Winnie, do you think that was a good idea? I think it wasn't because now Mae is going to be in even more trouble.!!

I agree with you that he prevented her from drinking because it was the fountain of youth. I wouldn't drink from that either...would you?

I think that Winnie's grandmother has seen a music box before but she has never seen the one that she thinks are elves.Maybe she's heard the song before when she was young. She might think it's elves because the music can sound like elves are singing.Do you think Mae Tuck will keep Winnie from telling her grandmother that it was a music box?

MESSAGE:
Dear Ben,
It must be great to be in NY.I like the way Natalie Babbit puts all those interesting words. I could never write like that. She really interest me. I think that chapter 4 was strange I wonder what the stranger has to do with the Tuck family. I don't think the Tucks would ever hurt Winnie because they seem like nice people. I think Winnie just has a little crush on on Jesse not a real big crush on him. I wonder if the Tucks will forgive Winnie? I wonder if the story will be really interesting? I wonder where the frog went in chapter 5?In chapter 4 I wonder if the music they heard was Mae's muic box? I wonder if the chapters will be as interesting as these chapters?

FROM YOUR NEW FRIEND,
Erica
