In ch.8 the part that I found was a realistic fiction was when Jesse was swinging around on the top of the tree like a monkey and the fantasy part was the secret about the spring. If you drank from the spring you live forever. |

For chapter 9 I thought that it was fantasy when Winnie felt like an unexpected present, and it was good realistic fiction when they passed the pastures, fields and groves that there were bees and crickets leaping before them. |

Tuck Everlasting I would say is mostly realistic fiction. Don't you think? The only part I wouldn't call realistic fiction is when the Tucks drink from the spring and live forever. You can get kidnapped by people who are more scared than you, but you definitly can't live forever, except in your dreams! |

Dear Keith, The fantasy part is where the Tucks drink from the spring. The realistic part is where they live on the farm and they live in two separate houses. The cat dies because it didn't drink from the spring. Write me back. |

Dear Stephine.L I would like to know what's in the water too. I also like the book but I would not like to live forever because then you would have to hide away like the Tucks. I agree with you that the music was from the music box. |

Dear Amy, The part where the Tucks drink from the spring is a fantasy. The man in the yellow suit is looking for the Tucks because they live forever. The spring is hidden because the Tucks don't want people to live forever like them. |

MESSAGE:
Dear Shante', I think that they don't want Winnie telling people about the spring because if she if she does some people might come swarming in to get the water and sell it to get lots of money. Also there would be no point for life if everyone drank the water. I think the stranger knows about the spring but doesn't know where it is so he'll follow the Tucks. |

Dear Chris I didn't say that it was boring. I think you might have misunderstood what I said. I was just expressing my thoughts about Winnie. |

MESSAGE:
Dear Lauren S. and Kerry, I like the use of the word "pry" in your response, Lauren, and Kerry, I like how how you characterize and describe Tuck as an old (and we know how OLD he is, don't we?) man talking about life and death. Well done. I hope you enjoy tonight's chapters. Mrs. Morris |
