I think her life is sad and lonely too. I agree with you Carmen. Her life is as lonely as being poor.If I was in that book I would be her sister and if I was her sister I would do the best I can to cheer her up.

You're right. Winnie does think her life is lonely and sad. I just got finishing chapter 7. It is a great chapter. How do you think about the book?

I thought about what you said and I think it needs more danger. Is that the kind of action you were thinking of?

What do you think about the man in the yellow suit? Do you think he is spying on Winnie?

I agree with you because Winnie ran away from her house because Winnie had no friends.

Who is your favorite character and why?

Our favorite character is the man in the yellow suit because he is creepy.

We think the man in the yellow suit is searching for Winnie and going to try to take Winnie away.

Would Winnie say take me away or let me stay with the Tuck's?

Do you think that Winnie's dad will come and get her?

I know why Winnie has a sad life. It's because she doesn't want to be the center of attention. Her mom and grandma know who did everything because she is an only child.

What do you think about Winnie's life?

Thanks for all your great comments over the last few days. You guys are doing a great job of talking to each other and responding to each other's comments! At the start of each day, it's always a good idea to check the discussion from the day before. Maybe someone wrote to you or asked you a question.

A lot of you have written to me saying you like the book and think it's interesting. I like it, too. And I think Winnie is my favorite character so far. Also, I like what a lot of you are saying about the life cycle. You have good ideas.

Don't worry so much about where you are in the book. Some of you are at the beginning, and some of you are at the middle. You can always find someone on the board who is at the same place you are. Those of you who are ahead--just be careful not to give away any secrets. So far you've been doing a really good job!

I like reading your comments, too. You've taught me a lot.

I don't know what's going on with that man in the yellow suit--but I agree with those of you who think he's up to no good! We'll see!

I like this book very much.
