I think that Mae Tuck did not kidnap Winnie because she was getting curious about the water,so they had to take her or she would ask what is in the water that you wouldn't let me drink the water.

What do you think about the story? So far, as I read, the story is very good. Would you drink the water from the spring? I wouldn't because I would want to live a normal life.Would you want to live a normal life or just live it off the wheel? Enjoy the book.

I thik that the stranger is going to tell Winnie's family that the Tuck family has kidnapped her and then Winnie's grandmother is going to call the cops. What do you think about whats going to happen next?

Hi! yesterday's discussion was great. It's cool that people have so much to say to each other about this book!

To answer some of your questions:

Briana: I do like the book, but I agree with you–it is sad that Mae gets to see her sons only every ten years. Hopefully this one detail won't keep you from enjoying the rest of the story. Does the book make you feel sad--is that why you don't like it? What do other people think?

Diana, Kendra, Johny, and Kevin: I love the book. It's really making me think. I like the characters very much. I can't wait to find out what happens. Both Raoul and I are right about where you are in the book.

Jasmine: I don't know what Winnie will do–it's a tough decision. I think she will spend a lot of time thinking about it! I am enjoying the book very much.

Stephanie: Well, I think the decision about whether or not to drink the water is a tough one. Maybe we'll understand Winnie more as the book goes on. We'll also learn more about the stranger. I'm sure about that!

Chelsea: I'm not quite sure yet about the man in the yellow suit. I think we'll get more clues as we continue reading. What do YOU think? What does everyone else think?

We are not exactly in love with Jesse but if we were Winnie we would come back in 5 years and marry him. Does anyone agree with us if so write back to us.

Hi! Some people wrote to me yesterday. Here's what I have to say:

Johntranette: My favorite character is Winnie, too! I might change my mind, though. I agree with you about the water–I think I would be afraid to drink it. I might be tempted to drink it, though. As far as that stranger goes–your idea is definitely interesting. I guess we'll have to keep reading to find out if you're right.

Tomy: If I were kidnapped, I don't know what I'd do. If I thought the kidnappers were mean–I hope I would be able to get away and tell them not to mess with me. But these Tuck people are sort of interesting, so maybe I would try to find out what they're all about. I would be nervous, though!

Arnesha: I think you could be right about why the Tucks kidnap Winnie. They need to protect their secret. Why do you think they want so much to protect it?

Crystal: I really like the book, too. Why do YOU think Winnie ran away? What do other people have to say about this?

Jennifer: I think you make a really good point. Jesse could be jealous of Miles. What do other people think?

I agree with you about that she is changing. I think she will stay only two days or one. I think at first she is and then she is not and after that she is scared and at last she is comfotable.

Dear Carmen ,
My group thinks that a water cycle that A. Tuck was talking to Winnie about.A.Tuck compares life to the water cycle ..But A.Tuck is stresses how important the ''life cycle is .Life is acycle that goes around and
around. But the author is real nice to tell us .
