I'm responding to Brennon J. at Landis Elementary in Houston, Texas. I like this book. I'm at chapter 5. Did you think it was right that Byron beat up, and threw around Larry Dunn. I don't , but I think he deserved a Super Maytag washing machine. I don't think Byron should of told them about the frozen up southern folks. That is all I have got to say.

HEEEELLLOOOO!!!!! I'm back again! I think that Klentzman students are a little bit ahead of Landis Ele. students, because tonight we need to read the next chapter, which is chapter 9. N-E-Wayz, I don't think that I should tell you guys what happens next? Shouul I? N-E-Wayz,

To:Lee I think that Joey probably won't try to blow the match of the next time that Momma tries to burn Byron. I think this because, if Joey did the exact same thing, what is the point of writing about that? Don't you think that it would be alot better if Joey, like changed her attitude over Byron. Maybe she will actually stop sticking up for her. I don't know, what do you think? In Chapter 8, I guess I will tell you what happens. I think that Byroon really deserved to go to Grandma Sands house in Birmingham, because she is relly strict, and will probably set him right. Also, I think that Byron will go to Birmingham also for school, and over there he will realize how it fells to be different, and how it feels to be teased about it. What do you think? Well, bye! I have to go now!

Dad must be spending a lot of money to improve the Brown Bomber. The air freshener wasn't so great because some people, like Momma, may not like it . I think that having the wing cut off is weird. The Ultra Glide was really neat. I didn't know that record players could be put in cars. Dad likes to make a big deal out of things because it took him a while to get to the point where he turned it on. It probably took him so long that morning because the salesman was talking a lot. The car must be very clean and nice looking now that it is washed and has had improvements like the Ultra Glide. Byron deserves to stay with Grandma Sands because she may get on him for everything he does. The kids may start to make fun of him because he is different. If he comes back, he will probably be nicer and more polite.

To Brennon:
I enjoyed chapter five too. I think that Byron's mom shouldn't burn Byron. I think it was really smart of her to pretend that she was going to burn him, but she had Joetta blow it out. I think that the Watsons are like the Brady Bunch. They hardly get mad at each other, but the siblings don't always get along with each other, and they do get teased. I think that Byron is a weird person. You don't see anybody with a friend named Buphead everyday do you? Well, I don't know anybody that knows anybody named Buphead. secondly, do you know anybody who flushes down Nazi paper planes and light sthem before they're flushed. As the story goes on, the Watsons seem to get weirder and weirder. At first I thought that they were just the normal family with weird ideas, but now I think that the Watsons are getting weirder. First, Byron's lips get stuck, then he lights Nazi paper planes and flushes them down the toilet! At least I know my family isn't this weird. I know this might be a weird question, but, is your family weird too?

Hi! I'm Minal. I'm writing to Markita. I think she should've burned him, too. But Joey kept on spitting up on him. Why does she always try to protect Byron? It makes me sick. It woulld be funny if she did burn him. It would have served him right.

I think the 8th chapter was a good chapter. I didn't know that long ago they put record players into cars. I that the first type of thing you could put in your car to play was an A-Trax. I really think that Momma really liked the Ultra Glide. When the Dad played one of her favorite songs she seemed like she loved it. Maybe she just doesn't like to see people have fun. Kenny said that she usually doesn't like to see people have fun. I like to see people have fun, unless they are making fun of me. Byron finally got what he deserved. He probablly thought that his parents would never send him to his grandmother's house. He should not be mad because his parents gave him lots of warnings about what they would do to him. I was suprised that Joetta didn't try to stop her parents from sending Byron off. Maybe she knows not to mess with her dad. Maybe her mom will go easy with her but her dad won't. Hopefully Byron will see what it feels like when he goes to his grandmothers house. He might not be like the kids are there. They say that grandma Sandy is mean. I wonder if they are just saying that to scare Byron, or if she is really mean. Maybe she will straighteen him out and teach him not to be so mean. I am sure Kenny is happy. I know I am real happy when someone I don't really like gets away from me. How will Buphead act to the response of Byron leaving?

What's up Keishia! So you have lived in New York? I am wondering that since you are only on the 5th chapter, should I tell you what happens to weird Watsons. I decided I am. In Chapter 8 Kenny's Mom and Dad decide to send Byron to Birmingham (Their Grandma Lives there.) because he did a lot of bad stuff which I am not going to tell you about, because it wouldn't be fair. So if you moved here from New York, I guess you might be able to relate to how Byron is feeling. If you think that the punishment Byron got for playing with matches is weird, then wait till you read what Byron does next and his punishment. Also you know how Joetta always stick up for Byron? In Chapter 8 she finallys teases him. To me it was like a miracle. I sorta feel sorry for Byron, but he did this to himself. If he had been good this probably wouldn't have happened. I would hate to move into a new neighborhood, because I like my friends, and I think it would be scary. You would have to learn everything and get to know people. How would you feel? Why? Thanks! Gotta Go! Diana
