Chapter 12 was one of my favorites out of the book. I couldn't wait to see what Grandma Sands was like. I think Byron will learn how to act like a human once Grandma Sands
gets done with him.

I think that this book is very cool. It gets serious at some parts and funny at others. I hope this book continues to be as good as when I first started.

I think that the ending was not good because it just ended up talking about how Byron gets nicer and no stuff about the bombing or anything. Do you think so?

I think that Byron is being nice because he knows what can happen to him if he mouthes off to the wrong person. He doesn't want to end up like the little girls in the church

Do you think that kenney is falling into a depression or is he just crying because he thinks that he would of left his sister to die if she was in the church.

I think that you chose a very interesting topic for your book-The Watsons go to
Birmingham-1963. I found the book amazingly interesting. How did you come up with this
topic? The characters in this book are also very alive. You seem like you have know them
for a very long time. Did you base thier character on anyone you know?

We just read chapter 10 about the drive through the mountains. I know how it feels to be in the total dark because last year when my family was going to Alabama and Mississippi it was about 10 or 11 o`clock and it was so dark that we couldn`t start driving until morning!

We have just finished reading chapter 10. How did you learn about 1963 and what happened then? We are curious as to why you had the Watsons traveling in 1963. The teacher says we will learn when we read the rest of the book!
