I absolutly loved this book.I gives a futuristic twist except you don't realize it is in the future until the middle of the book. Then you also find out what it would be like if our world were basically devoid of pain,suffering,hunger. Not only would we lose all of that but we would also loose a lot of the good, wonderful things too.This is a great read although the ending sort of leaves you guessing.

Like, it makes u look at your life in a whole different perspective. It's about three orphans and their parents die in a fire. They r sent 2 live with a long relitive, Count Olaf. This book is so sad. I'm crying as I'm writing this. It is such a good book. I don't know how the author, Sharon Creech, can write such sad books. Jack is such a strong character. I can't believe the way that he has no grief and sorrow after losing Sky. As you read the book, different things come into play, such as the blue car spattered with mud. It was a really short, but it was a great book for anyone who has lost a pet.

This book is amazing! I really liked the way Louis Sachar links everything together. I also liked how he incorporated racism into the story as well. I would definitely recommend readers to also see the movie. It was very true to the book. There was almost no difference between the two. I loved theway that everything finally comes together at the end. Overall, it was an excellent book, probably the best book that I have ever read.

I really liked this book. I read it in almost one night. I really dissagree with Joe who read this book and said they didn't like it. There is a little violence and 3 people die but it really isn't that bad. My 7th grade English teacher made me read it for class and she is really the greatest teacher in the world and and great litterary leader and she wouldn't make me read it if she didn't think it was good.

What advice would you give Second Sister to help her feel more comfortable with life in the United States? First you should go to your teacher and you tell her about you, like your personalities and interests. Maybe one of your new classmates is just like you. Your teacher could pair you up with them and could play with each other. I would also tell Second Sister that you should join some clubs after school. That is so because if you join some clubs you will meet new friends. When you are are the club they will see that you are not shy and maybe they will want to become friends with you. Another way you can feel more confortable in the U.S would be by trying to fit in with others. If you were outside and you saw girls jumping rope you could go over to them and say "can i play?" Just be friendly, nice and look like you really enjoy jumproping. You would hope they would say "yes." After all this you would be gaing more and more friends. After a while you would not become the "new kid" and would be just like everyone else. I hope this advice works and you will get more and more used to your new home the U.S.A.

If I ever met Second Sister I would tell her to take a risk and go up to someone and say "hi". If she made some friends she would feel better and less lonely. Maybe if she changed her name like I infered her sister did, Mary some people in her school would not be araid to go over to her because then they would feel like she is more normal because her name is and may not be as scared to talk to her. Second Sister could also join a club in school or a sport outside of school and maybe then she could meet people with the same interests. It is hard to make new friends so maybe if her brothers and sisters let her hangout with them and their friends then maybe those people have sisters or brothers and then they can be friends. In school she should ask someone to be her partner and maybe invite them over. There are many ways for her to be making friends she just has to take risks and try to have fun. Maybe if none of those work she can move back to China and go to a bording school.

What advice would you give Second Sister to help her feel more confortable in the United States? To make Second Sister feel more comfortable in the US I would tell her a few things. First I would explain to her that America had similar qualities to China. The US has Chinese resturants and plays similar sports. Next I would tell Second Sister that you learn about China in school. She would know a lot about China which would be good. In away scool in the US is easier than Chinese Schools. In the US if she wanted to go someplace she did not have to worry about asking the government becausse in the US you have the freedom of liberty, unlike Communist China. I would finally tell Second Sister not to worry and she should just be herself.

The advice I would give to Second Sister is that she could still keep her Chinese heratige while living in America and making friends. If she thinks her friends or the Americans she meets will take her heritage away from her, she is wrong. Her friends will want to learn more about the Chinese heritage and will not take it away from her at all. I think Second Sister will enjoy having friends and should try and make friends. I think she will not regeret making friends at all!

I am currently reading Nobody Else Has To Know in school. It is about a boy named Webber who comes running home from school because he beat the record in the track meat. He comes home from school and tells his Grandfather the great news. There are these cool running shoes that he wanted but to much money for his mom to afford(his dad died)so his Grandfather takes him to the mall to bye them. Webber really wants to drive but is under age but his grandpa gives him permission anyway. So hes driving until he passes a farm and hits a little girl Taffy and is now in a coma. Next thing Webber knows he is in the hospital and his leg is broken. His Grandfather is at home with broken ribs. The police come in to talk to Webber but Webber forgot everything that happened. The Grandfather takes the blame and says he did it. He says this because he thinks Webber has a big future ahead of him. Then when Webber comes home he is feeling a little better but then he has to go to school and is afraid because he has missed a lot of work. That day Webber got a lot of attention. On his way home from school his friend Beefey is driving. Webber dozes off and he heres a song on the radio. When he wakes up hes yelling put it back on. My class and I think it was the song he was listening to when he got in the acident. 1 month later he gets asked to a party and he goes. He dozes off there and when he wakes up he is screaming he goes home and walks into his Gandfathers room. Webber fiund out that he was the one who was driving not Grandfather. Him and Grandfather were best friends as tight as not but Webber couldn't help he stood there rubbed his eyes and he couldn't hold it in he started to cry. This book s very good check it out one day a your local library and get into reading.

I think that this book can be a little boring sometimes, but sometimes can capture your attention wit a lot of action. From the title name i predict that Sam will die in the war against the lobster backs or known as the Redcoats.Sam is Tim's older brother and his family is loyal to the king , but Sam is a patriotI recommsend this book to people who are willing to read it. This book is about a girl nameed Annabl. She wakes up from last nite when she was fighting with her mother and she finds that she had turned into her mother. Her mother is now in Annabl's body. Annabl decides not to go to school with out telling anyone and also she forgets to hand in her asignment and it was part of her grade.Now Mrs.Andrews can't find Annabel.Will Annabl ever get back nto her own body? I will have to keep reading to find out. This is a great book.

I realy enjoyed this book except for the curses because the class went wild and we lost points. I think this book meanches death to much and wepions. I would recomend this book for children because it teaches alot about life in the war and in the past. Some halfs of the book are bad but I think were mutture enough to understand.

This is a great book!!!!It is really fun you should read because it has alot of suspence and if you pay attention you would understand the mewning of it.this book takes place in the 1700's and tim meeker is a loyalist that meens that he is loyal to the king but his brother sam wants to fight as a patriot and the father does not want sam to fight because he is a loyalist. but sam wants to be free so sam sneaks out and goes fighting...i cant tell you any more but it is a great book.

MY BROTHER SAM IS DEAD is a book that really brought my listing skills to the top! This book I would highly recomend because of the great suspence and all of the adventures Tim Meeker goes on. Tim is really worried about his brother Sam he is aginest the loyalist and is a patriot. (Sams family are loyalest but Tim is not sure what he is.) This story is fun and funny.
