of the Jews
- Rescue
of the Jews from Annihilation Background on the war and Hitler
and the consequences for Denmark lead into this complete account of the Danish
rescue of the Jews. The Royal Danish Embassy in Washington, D.C. sponsors

and Rescue: Denmark's Response to the Holocaust An article
printed in 1993 commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the Danish rescue
is reprinted here. This retrospective view allows the author to contemplate
the enormity of what the Danish people accomplished.
